General Summary:

Responsible for the processing of customer orders through the Customer Service Department to include the development and/or modification of bills of material.  Also, in order to be “customer specific”, develops the markup of wiring and piping diagrams.  Reviews prints, generates change orders, and other engineering data in the development or documentation that affects manufacturing activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as requested or required.

  1. Work up of burner orders.
  2. Review specifications, burner quotations, drawings, and customer driven documentation, checking for errors and/or conflicting information.
  3. Verify burner sizing.
  4. Print orders using configured bill of material.
  5. Add items listed on the burner order form, pricing sheets, quotations, cross references, charts and other available information, not selected on the configurator.
  6. Locate oil and gas diagrams.  Locate, create, and/or modify new wiring diagrams.
  7. Reconfigure orders as necessary
  8. Contact Customer Service Rep when parts on the order form do not contain a function.
  9. Send finished order to the Internal Support Team Leader to be released.
  10. Rework orders and after approvals, when a customer has initiated a change or the original information was incorrect.
  11. Generate change orders when necessary regardless of the origin of the error
  12. Provide support and direction to the Manufacturing Department, via special notification forms and direct communication with production personnel, concerning parts numbers and the comment section of the cover sheet.
  13. Process larger non-complex orders. C-Max, NP2, C-6 and above burner sizes, etc.
  14. Other duties as may be assigned.


To successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this entry level position, the individual should have attained a Associates Degree (AA or AS) from a two-year college or university or attained a 4 year Bachelor Degree (BSE or BSETT) and have 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing.  An equivalent of education and experience may be substituted.

The individual must demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • General knowledge of combustion controls packages
  • Advanced ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, etc.
  • Ability to multitask and wear multiple hats everyday
  • Ability to travel as required (<15%)
  • If required, desire to relocate to SE Kansas
