General Summary:

Responsible for the design of new products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, electrical designs, documentation packages, pre-production builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as requested or required.

  1. Work up of burner orders
    - Reviewing entire order checking for errors and /or conflicting information.
    - Generating orders using and modifying standard bills and mini bills.
    - Adding items listed on the burner order form, pricing sheets, quotations, cross references charts and other available information.
    - Locating oil and gas diagrams and locates, creating or modifying new wiring diagrams.
    - Contacting customer when parts on the order form do not contain a function.
    - Sending orders to data entry for commitment.
  2. Rework orders, after approvals, when customer has a change of mind or the original information was incorrect.
  3. Generating change orders when necessary regardless of the origin of the error.
  4. Providing support and direction to the Manufacturing Department via special notification forms and direct communication with production personnel concerning parts numbers and the comment section of the cover sheet.
  5. Engineering conversion diagrams and providing technical support to CSD on changes to be made to burners in the field per the customer’s request.

Education/Experience:

  1. Know how to program and develop our configurator system used by our personnel to create the Bill of Materials.
  2. Know how to look up parts in our system.
  3. Know how to read and understand drawings.
  4. Know how to create drawings and design circuits.
  5. Know how to learn pressure drops.
  6. Know panel sizing calculations.
  7. Know how to attach the job to the drawings.
  8. They should learn the components that make up our burners and our panels.
  9. They should learn different controllers put in each panel, pinouts, and functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in MS Office. Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The employee is required to exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally; and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently; and/or up to 1 pounds of force regularly.
