General Summary:

Power Flame, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced project manager for its larger and more complex burners. The project manager will own the project from the pre-award RFQ all the way through start up and commissioning of the unit and through the warranty period, and will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as requested or required.

  • Sole owner of all communication with customer on projects
  • Assist sales team as needed during proposal phase of complex projects
  • Owner of project budget and making sure that all projects stay on budget
  • Ensure that all projects ship on time and meets the customers’ requirements
  • Create project schedule and provide weekly updates to customers
  • Make sure that order processing, planning, procurement, and manufacturing functions maintain the project schedule
  • Interpret specifications and translate them into order requirements for the Power Flame order processing system
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Work with vendors to arrive at creative solutions that meet the customer’s needs; help expedite vendors when required
  • Assist with startup and commissioning activities when required
  • Attend startup meetings when required
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and root cause analysis
  • Other project related tasks as requested


The successful incumbent should have a four (4)-year college degree, preferably in engineering, and at least four (4) years related experience in project management.
