Cmax Burner Training; 201

Our two-day Cmax Training; 201 covers Power Flame’s Cmax burner installation, start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Majority of the class consists of hands-on training. Attending the Basic Combustion Class is recommended before enrolling in this course.

CMAX BURNER TRAINING OUTLINE:

  1. Half day classroom covering combustion theory and related equipment used in the commercial burner industry.
  2. Power Flame burner models and their modes of operation.
  3. Demonstration and HANDS-ON setup of typical burner and boiler room components:
    – Understanding burner drawings and bill of materials.
    – Safety device setup and testing.
    – Common component electrical diagnostics.
    – Fuel supply and pressures.
    – Pilot testing and setup.
    – High draft Pilot setup.
    – Using data sheets for burner combustion documentation.
    – Oil nozzle adjustments and setup.
    – General burner maintenance.
    – Removal and maintenance of gun assembly.
    – Oil system components.
    – Dedicated Air atomization compressor setup.
    – Use of plant supplied air or steam atomization system in place of dedicated air compressor.
    – Mod motor setup.
    – Safe startup practices.
    – Flame zones and anchor points.
    – FGR setup and tuning.
    – Spud changing and adjustments.
    – Rope locations and adjustments.
    – Diffuser adjustments.
    – Outer gas adjustments.
    – Use of adjustable Pre-spinners.
    – Methods used for Low NOx burners.
    – Introduction to Director SCS (SLATE) control system.
    – Use of flow meters for determining high fire rates.
